When it's dark and cold outside, it can be easy to get in a rut, feel down, and sink into the winter blues. Here are a few simple tips to help you create a little extra joy in your life. Try them out and let me know in the comments (or via email or text) if they helped you!
Open your curtains/shades every morning. Your soul needs to see outside (even if it’s cloudy, semi-dark, or foggy). If you don't already do this, give it a try for a week and see how it makes you feel.
Bring in something green. Go get a cute succulent, fresh flowers, or a little basil plant. It will give you something to take care of and bring some spring-like nature inside.
Light candles in the evening. Bonus if you use ones that smell amazing!
Reduce your screen time. Read or do something else instead. In winter it can be even easier to get sucked into a TV show or scrolling on social media. Make sure to rest in less “numbing” ways too.
Make a cozy meditation corner. Meditation is great for reducing anxiety and stress. Put a cushion, candle, and other meaningful item in a quiet corner of your home and then use it often.
